Mick is a provincial, national and international award winning Advertising Creative Type, and a multi-talented filmmaker who writes, produces, directs, designs and edits. Sometimes he wears so many hats he is worried about getting a case of terminal hat head! The good news is they haven’t had to amputate. Yet.
Mick is also a writer and keynote speaker on digital media and marketing. We are inundated with images, messages, branding and the subliminal trending of social media. He is constantly inspired by what makes one message cut through the increasingly cluttered digital landscape and have the ability to provoke, transform, and inspire.
His work has been recognized with Firsts and Honourable Mentions from the Television Bureau of Canada and Best Creative in BC from the BC Association of Broadcasters. Mick’s writing, producing and directing skills have also garnered Gold and Bronze ProMax Muse Awards (North America), considered the ‘Oscar’ of the Broadcast Design Industry. He has served as a judge for the Canadian Association of Broadcasters CAB Awards. Former and current clients include Air Canada, Home Depot, Rona, ICBC, Government of BC, Coast Capital Savings, countless car dealers and a number of advertising agencies.
Mick has extensive experience with multicultural and international production, having created projects in many different languages including Cantonese, Mandarin, Punjabi, Spanish and French.
